"Remember your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.  My comfort in my suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.  The arrogant mock me without restraint, but I do not turn from your law.  I remember your ancient laws, O Lord, and I find comfort in them."                   Psalm 119:  49-52

No Cancer Sticks in 2006

A Note From Major Martin:

I have been praying and meditating on making this program smoke-free since I started as Commanding Officer in October 2001. No one can argue the fact that cigarettes are both addictive and cause cancer.

How can a man say that God has freed him from his addictions of alcohol and drugs but not from his addiction from cigareettes? If we allowed alcohol and drugs on the premises you might never be freed from their lifetaking addictions. It only stands to reason that we should add smoking to the list of destructive things that solicits an addictive behavior.

I pray that you will use this program and allow yourself that good health to mind and body that comes with breaking the filthy habit of smoking.

In His Service,

Rev. Maj. Byron E. Martin
